Gary Jeffreys

Owner / Managing Director

Gary became a registered builder in 1985 and currently holds and Open Builder licence. Gary has worked in the building industry in Central Queensland for over 30 years.  During this time, he has worked on a diverse range of projects for a wide variety of clients. Gary has completed many projects for State and Local Government Agencies as well as local architects.  Gary prides himself and his business as being amongst the most professional builders in the CQ area. He values a well-run office, good communication and documentation management.  These principles form the basis of our Company Values and assists in a well-run job and a successful outcome for both builder and client. Gary’s commitment to good service and building practices are maintained by the company’s ongoing commitment to a Quality Management System certified to ISO-9001 and a third-party accredited Work Health and Safety system certified to AS/NZS 4801.

 

Peter Hyne

Estimator / Project Manager

Pete has been part of our team since 2016, bringing with him over 30 years of building industry knowledge both in residential and commercial development. Peter’s role within the company is to estimate and manage projects under $1.5 million dollars in value.

Tony Robson

Estimator / Project Manager

Tony has completed many projects over his 36 year construction back ground. He has completed many projects from small rebuilds to major shopping centres and resort complexes with values ranging up to $110 mil.

 

Lee Crawford

Site Supervisor

Lee is a trade qualified carpenter with over 25 years’ extensive experience in domestic, commercial and civil construction. Lee is responsible for managing all the day to day site activities, coordinating a variety of trades and employees, managing our Safety and Quality systems. Throughout his career, Lee has demonstrated the capacity to work successfully within a team environment contributing to the achievement of organisational objectives.  Lee prides himself in the completion projects on time and on budget and to a high standard of quality.

 

Rhys Williams

Site Foreman

Rhys is a carpenter by trade and has a wealth of experience through working with several construction companies within the Central Queensland area.  As a carpenter, Rhys has worked on a wide range of projects including our recently completed Heights College and Cathedral of Praise projects.  Rhys has progressed into a Site Foreman role within the company which sees him currently working directly with Gary towards the successful completion of the Sacred Heart School Yeppoon Toilet Refurbishment and Associated Works.

 

Korey McLaughlin

Site Foreman

Since commencing with the company as a Carpenter in 2014, Korey has worked his way through the ranks to become a reliable tradesman and site foreman with a good work ethic. In recent times, Korey has been responsible for the site management and completion of projects up to $100,000 in value.

 

Tony Carter

Site Foreman / Earthworks Supervisor

Tony Carter has been employed by GT Jeffreys Building Contractor for over 27 years, originally joining our team in 1992 as a trade-qualified Bricklayer. However, since then Tony has built on his skills and has been our Senior Plant Operator since 2006. Tony is also a volunteer Brigade Office with Caves Rural Fire Brigade. In his spare time, he is a dedicated family man and enjoys fishing, gardening and spending time with his wife and two children.

 

Shannon Sanders

Quality Assurance / Document Control

Shannon joined the company in 2015 and has over 10 years’ experience working within the mining and construction industries. Shannon is responsible for overseeing our Quality Assurance and is continually reviewing the company’s business systems and processes to further improve efficiency and promote growth within the organisation.

 

Tracey Black

Contract Administration / Accounts

Tracey joined the company in 2017 and brings with her 17 years of administrative experience within the construction industry.  Tracey has worked within all levels of business during her career and has a proven track record of providing a high standard of administrative support.  Tracey is responsible for all company financial requirements including procurement, project cost control and progress claims whilst providing administration support to office and project teams.

 

June Bray

Administration

June has vast administration knowledge and experience spanning over numerous years and is the newest member to our company.  June is responsible for all general office administration as well as providing support to our project teams.
