Gary Jeffreys

Owner / Managing Director

Gary became a registered builder in 1985 and currently holds and Open Builder licence. He has grown the business from subcontracting to a commercial building enterprise. Gary has worked in the building industry in Central Queensland for over 30 years. During this time, he has worked on a wide variety of project for wide variety of clients. This can been see from the company’s Capability Statement.

However, Gary has mainly focused on working for State and Local Government Agencies as well as Queensland-wide architects. Gary prides himself and his business as being among the most professional builders in the Central Queensland area. Gary has placed great emphasis on a well-run office, which values good communication and documentation management. This greatly assists in a well-run job and a successful outcome for both builder and client. Gary’s commitment to good service and good building practices are maintained by the company’s ongoing commitment to a Quality Management System certified to ISO-9001 and a third-party accredited Work Health & Safety system certified to AS/NZS 4801.


Graham Stark

Senior Site Supervisor

Graham (Stu) commenced in the building trade as an apprentice with Gary and has been employed full-time by GT Jeffreys Building Contractors for 17 years. Graduating through the ranks from an Apprentice to Senior Site Supervisor, Graham is a highly-valued member of our field staff and has worked on a wide variety of projects including aged care facilities, schools, unit developments, universities and churches. Graham holds an Builders License, and has also undertaken training in First Aid, Class B Asbestos Removal, Working at Heights and has excellent communication and computer skills.


Coral-Lee Newton

Office Manager / Project Management Assistant

Coral-Lee joined our team to provide support to our growing Project Management Department. Coral-Lee has been working in administration in the building industry for over 10 years. Prior to commencing with GT Jeffreys Building Contractor, Coral-Lee held a long-term position with ShedBoss Rockhampton as an Office Manager and Assistant Project Manager where she handled all management tasks and what was required of her in the project management department building residential and commercial sheds. Coral-Lee has been involved in the management and building of several new sheds and halls on school premises within central Queensland.


Shannon Sanders

Quality Assurance / Document Control

Shannon joined the company in 2015 and has over 10 years’ experience working within the mining and construction industries. Shannon is responsible for overseeing our Quality Assurance and is continually reviewing the company’s business systems and processes to further improve efficiency and promote growth within the organisation.


Tracey Black


Recently joining our team, Tracey Black brings with her 16 years of administrative experience within the construction industry.  Tracey has worked within all levels of business during her career and has a proven track record of providing a high standard of administrative support.  Tracey is responsible for all company bookkeeping requirements including project cost control and progress claims while providing administration support to office and project teams.


Tony Carter,  A bricklayer by trade has been with GT Jeffreys Building Contractor for over 20 years.  Tony is responsible for site works and is also in charge of our excavator and bobcat.
